Materials: Watercolor, white acrylic and collage paper
Description: My son changed preschools recently, and for the first time, I felt emotional ups and downs telling the teachers, "he's a really sensitive, delicate kid." A few minutes later, much older kids almost looked like they were going to pick a fight with him, and my son turned around, showed his fist, and made a grunting noise. I realized I was projecting my childhood fears onto him, wanting to protect him as a mother. But it turns out he's way stronger than I was. Regardless, as a mom, I wish I could keep him in my womb.
